W. Brent Gill

W. Brent Gill, born in Bedford, Indiana; admitted to the Indiana bar in 1980; B.S. degree in education from Indiana University in 1976 and J.D. degree, cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law in January 1980; 1983 graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy; board certified as a civil trial advocate of the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1992.

    A trial lawyer and mediator, Brent has tried over 150 jury trials. Brent’s trial experience includes cases involving fire and gas explosions, construction site injuries, premises liability, insurance company bad faith, governmental liability and highway design, pharmaceutical, medical devices, toxic torts, products liability, trucking, motorcycle and automotive catastrophic personal injury, burn injury, brain and spinal cord injury and wrongful death, and professional malpractice.


    Gill is the past chairman of Indiana’s Native American Indian Affairs Commission. He has taught and lectured to legal and professional organizations on various areas of trial advocacy and practice, communication, mediation, damages and areas of substantive law; and also lectures on Cherokee/American Indian history, culture and tradition.

    Mr. Gill was trained and served as a Marine combat Corpsman. He was also trained and billeted as an Orthopedic Technician during his military service and worked in that capacity at hospitals while completing his undergraduate degree. When not spending time with his family, Brent enjoys riding his Harley and playing rugby with the Indiana University Old Boys Rugby team.
